Clay is a native of Princeton, Indiana. He got his B.A. in Political Science and History at The Ohio State University and his J.D., cum laude, from Western Michigan University-Cooley Law School. Clay remained active in politics in his home state while studying in college and law school. He worked for a former U.S. Representative in his District Office and was active on the campaign trail for many candidates and elected officials. The opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, listen to stories of hardship and to work with people to find a resolution to their issues was a great learning experience for him. Today, Clay remains active in politics and one-day may run for office himself.
In is spare time, Clay is an avid sports fan. He loves Ohio State football and New York Yankees baseball. You can find him at Ohio Stadium each home game (and at a couple away games each year) cheering on his beloved Buckeyes! Clay also takes a baseball trip to a different MLB stadium each year. His goal is to see a game in each MLB stadium (he has only a handful left to go). Clay also enjoys to travel, reading about World War II, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends, and family. He loves traveling back home to Southwestern Indiana to visit his parents and his sister’s family. He also loves to travel to Florida to spend time with his brother and his family. If he isn’t doing any of that, he is probably watching the Buckeyes or Yankees.
